Do I need to be a golf club member to host my wedding?

No. Membership is not required. As a public golf course wedding venue in South Jersey, we welcome all couples and host only one wedding at a time, offering a private and intimate experience.

What is the capacity of your venue?

The Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 200 guests with a dance floor (220 without). For smaller events, the Tee Room hosts up to 60 guests, and the Lounge seats up to 16—a flexible mix for showers, rehearsal dinners, or corporate gatherings.

What kind of outdoor spaces do you offer?

Two signature ceremony sites: The Pergola, overlooking the rolling greens for a classic golf course wedding backdrop, and The Timbers, a serene woodland ceremony setting with natural seclusion—both favorites for outdoor weddings in New Jersey.

Do you have a backup plan for inclement weather?

Yes. We offer an indoor ceremony option and can transition the cocktail hour and festivities into the Grand Ballroom. We’ll watch the forecast together and make a call as late as the day before to keep your guests comfortable and your photos beautiful.

Can we bring in our own decor?

Absolutely—bring your personality. From signage and welcome tables to custom lounge pieces, your day-of coordinator will help set out and pack up your items, allowing you to focus on celebrating.

Do you have getting-ready rooms?

Yes. Our wedding suite features floor-length mirrors, vanities, and plenty of seating; the men’s lounge includes a flat-screen TV, card room, and locker amenities—ideal for relaxed, camera-ready prep on site.

What kind of lighting do you have available?

Our Grand Ballroom features warm pendant lighting and optional string lights for a soft, romantic glow. The outdoor patio includes café-style lights and fire pits — perfect for evening cocktails — while The Timbers ceremony site offers twinkling string lights that make the woods feel extra magical. Who is responsible for the table and chair set up and tear down?

Our event staff handles all setup and teardown of tables, chairs, and linens.

Do you offer overnight accommodations?

We don’t have overnight rooms on-site, but we partner with several nearby hotels for guest accommodations.

Do you have on-site parking?

Do you have an on-site coordinator?

Can we hire our own wedding planner?

Of course! Outside planners are welcome here. Your planner will collaborate with our venue coordinator to cover design, logistics, and vendor management, ensuring a seamless on-site experience.

What is the timeline for planning a wedding at your venue?

Our planning process follows an easy, step-by-step rhythm: start with an inquiry and tour, confirm your date with a $2,000 retainer, complete payment milestones, meet with your coordinator 6–8 weeks before to iron out the details, and then it’s wedding day! No surprises—just smooth sailing to “I do!”

Is there a rehearsal included in the rental fee?

Yes. Ceremony rehearsals can be scheduled with our events team, and we also offer rehearsal luncheons and dinners on-site.

Do you have any restrictions on music or entertainment?

No major restrictions; amplified music is welcome indoors or on the covered patio.

Can we have a ceremony rehearsal on-site?

Yes—our team will walk you through processional, recessional, and key cues at The Pergola, The Timbers, or Grand Ballroom.

Can we have our ceremony and reception at different locations on the property?

Yes. Many couples choose The Timbers or The Pergola for their ceremony, followed by a ballroom reception, creating a smooth indoor/outdoor flow.

Are tables and chairs included in the rental fee?

Yes—tables, chairs, linens, and standard place settings are included per package standards, with options to personalize through rentals if desired.

What style of weddings do you specialize in?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. Running Deer Golf Club and Ron Jaworski Weddings maintain full liability insurance coverage for all events hosted on the property

What time does the party need to stop?

Events typically conclude by 11 p.m.

Yes, for example, Stella Baking Company (custom wedding cakes). We also offer referrals for entertainment, florals, photo/video, transportation, and more.

How do I reserve a date for my wedding?

After your tour and proposal, submit a signed agreement and retainer to officially secure your date.

Is a retainer required to book a date?

Yes. A $2,000 deposit and signed contract secure your date.

When is the retainer due?

At the time of booking.

Are there any additional fees or charges that I should be aware of?

If hosting your ceremony onsite, a $2,000 ceremony fee applies. Food & beverage minimums apply (before 23% service charge and NJ sales tax). Ask us for a transparent estimate that outlines everything upfront.

When is the final payment due?

Your final balance is due one week prior to your wedding date.
